RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2026
The selection process for the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) post consists of multiple stages including CBT 1, CBT 2, CBAT (Psycho Test), and Document Verification. Candidates must qualify each stage to proceed to the next round of the recruitment process.

Stage 1 – CBT 1 (Screening Test)

- 100 questions are asked in 90 minutes

- Negative marking –1/3 mark for each wrong answer
- Marks secured in Part A will be considered in the final merit list
Part B
- 75 questions are asked in 60 minutes
- Question will be asked from the selected trade by the candidate
- Candidate should obtain minimum 35% marks to qualify
- Qualifying in nature; no marks will be counted in the merit list
Stage 3 – CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test)
- Conducted only for ALP post
- Candidate must get a minimum of 42 marks in each
- No Negative marking in CBAT
- CBAT is qualifying in nature

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has revised the weightage criteria for preparing the final merit list for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) post.
